about
me.
Born in southern California in
1982, I moved back and forth with my family several times, living in
Maryland, California, and Arizona. While attending Biola
University in La Mirada, California I met Clint Stringfellow and we
dated through out school. After graduation, we got married.
Currently, I am working as a designer and receptionist and graphic
artist in Yorba Linda, California.
I have been drawing
and painting since I was very little. My parents always encouraged
me to pursue my art, and have always been my biggest fans. I
started with canyons and markers, graduated to drawing with pencil and
colored pencil before discovering the joys of digital art in 2001.
I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop 7, and fell madly in love.
Shortly afterward, I bought my first tablet, a 20.00 discontinued
version from some unknown company off ebay. It was cheap and not very
sensitive, but it was light years ahead of my mouse. I eventually
upgraded to a Wacom tablet, and thought I had died and gone to heaven.
I have been using it to create my digital paintings every since.
Clay
has been a long time love of mine. I discovered Scupley in elementary
school and used it to make all kinds of fun little creatures,
particularly dragons. During college, I lost touch with my
passion for clay. But in 2005, stumbled across some wonderful clay
artists on the internet and realized what a wonderful art form it was. I
began sculpting little fairies and elf, and found out how addicting it
can be!
I have just recently return to an old love,
painting with acrylics. I am always amazed at how much I've learned about
painting though playing with my computer. A lot does translate back and forth,
more than I would image.
